Grown-Up Countries Don't Use FPTP
Think proportional representation (PR) is a bizarre system only for new-age radicals? While few countries use pure PR, most modern countries used mixed forms of PR. In fact, new democracies (such as those of the former Soviet block) have invariably chosen a system such as these when deciding on the best way to run their new democracies; all avoid the winner-take-all system Canada has, called First Past the Post (FPTP).
